"ROCKET LEAGUE " on Android/iOS with a spinoff called Sideswipe
The mobile adaptation of Rocket League supports up to four players and is expected to launch by the end of 2021.
Today Psyonix and Epic Games announced Rocket League Sideswipe, a mobile-only car soccer game destined for Android and iOS.
According to the studio, Rocket League Sideswipe will see players “compete in fast-paced, two minute, 1v1 or 2v2 matches.” Psyonix also boasts “intuitive touchscreen controls that make [Sideswipe] easy to pick up and play,” for both newcomers and seasoned Rocket League veterans alike.
Sideswipe will be free to play, just like the main version, which switched to this model last year. Before the game releases, Psyonix announced that a limited alpha test will be available on Android via Google Play to players in Australia and New Zealand today. More betas will be available in the coming months, according to Psyonix.
